The Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO), the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB), the Jonge Academie and the Department of Economy, Science and Innovation (Departement EWI) are organizing a colloquium on interdisciplinary research and (higher) education.

During this colloquium we will try to formulate answers to some of the obstacles (e.g. evaluation) related to interdisciplinary research and education, but also inspire researchers and facilitate their interdisciplinary endeavours.

We will start the day with an inspiring keynote on the importance of interdisciplinary research, followed by break-out sessions where experts will share their experience of what is needed to encourage, set up, evaluate and execute interdisciplinary research/education.

The colloquium will be held in English. Participation is free, but registration is required.
