Tiny Titans Talks: Microbes at the frontiers of microbiology
Het Nationaal Comité voor Microbiologie (NaCoMi) en Belgische centrum voor microbiële genetische rijkdommen (BCCM) nodigen je met trots en veel plezier uit voor de tweede editie van de Tiny Titans Talks, die op maandag 7 september 2026 plaatsvindt in het Paleis der Academiën in Brussel:
MICROBES AT THE FRONTIERS OF MICROBIOLOGY
Deze editie neemt je mee naar de grenzen van de microbiologie, waar microben onverwacht, onontgonnen en vaak… ongelooflijk zijn. Van vreemde aanpassingen tot ongeziene interacties: de sprekers zullen de passie achter hun ontdekkingen met je delen – niet alleen wat ze hebben gevonden, maar ook waarom het belangrijk is en hoe het hun perspectief heeft veranderd. Het programma omvat een breed scala aan ongewone microben, variërend van Bdelloid-radiaaria tot reuzenvirussen, en alles daartussenin!
Een bijzonder hoogtepunt slaat een brug tussen wetenschap en creativiteit en biedt een uniek perspectief op microben als zowel boeiende onderzoeksonderwerpen als onschatbare bronnen van inspiratie. De Tiny Titans Talks gaan niet alleen over resultaten, gegevens of methodologieën. Ze gaan over nieuwsgierigheid, ontdekkingen en de momenten die een vakgebied opnieuw definiëren.
